My PC at home is not on the internet and yet because I want to design sites that are compatable with all browsers I need to install lots of browsers, not a problem so far.
Well, when I came to dl IE 6.0 the file was only a couple of hundred Kb and when I ran it I had to select the elements I wanted installed and then it downloaded them. This is a problem because I am not on the internet at home. So where can I download the entire browser, as a single file preferably, so that no more downloading is neccesary. And not just IE but also Netscape and any other browsers like that.
Why can't they all be like Opera???

It might be easier just to get the Install CDs for I.E. and Netscape etc.

You could try the evolt browser archive (http://browsers.evolt.org/).

Thanks AdamGundry, they seem to have every browser under the sun in their archive.
Unfortunately Pixelchik, not everyone lives in america. If I could order the CD to be sent to England and pay the p&p in £'s then maybe I would. If you know how I could do that then, please, let me know.

hi,
have you tried some of the peer-to-peer programs, such as Kazaa, Imesh?
here is a site for to d/l some of the peer-to-peer programs:

A word of advice before going on the peer-to-peer programs, make sure your anti-virus software is uptodate, these programs are a nightmare for viruses;)

Yeah, I've got KaZaA but whenever I've searched for any software on it, it draws a blank every time. Anyway with such a big program like IE it would be so easy for someone to change a file here and there...
So even if I found it on there I wouldn't download it, simply because of virus's like you said.

Hi Lavalamp
In the UK try buying a pc mag with a cover disk. They usually include some browsers (like IE6) on the disk.

I have full version clean standalone copies of IE 6.0 and IE 5.5, which I burnt to CD-ROM. If you send a blank CD-R and pay for the postage and packing for both ways I could burn you a copy.
If you want I could add some old versions of Netscape and Opera onto the disk.
Surely you have some friends with broadband who could download M$ IE it is well above 40 MB to download, but I have T-1 here :D.
However, you have to remember to set-up a multi-boot environment with M$ IE and different versions.

Hey robert, if you're serious can you pm me your address. Although I'm not sure what you mean by a multi-boot environment. And the only place I know with broadband is school and they probably wouldn't take too kindly to me downloading a few hundred Mb.
