I'm not fimillar w/ access db and have access db i would like to convert to MySQL.. do i have to write it from scratch or is there a convert of sorts??

No offense, but there are much better ways to do it. That article is 3 years old. I would start with something like MySQL Migration Toolkit (http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/migration-toolkit/index.html)
