I run a hardware review site that has a lot of articles. Only problem is that I'm starting to have trouble managing them all now that we have quite a bit of content. I do not want to use a standard CMS... I have my site designed already, and do not want to use templates or anything like that.

Here's the problem with what I have now:

At the moment, the writers write the articles (500-1000 words with pictures), my editors edit them, then I get them from the editors. After this, I load up dreamweaver, create a new page for that article (using my standard article web page), and add the content at the correct spot on the page. Finally, I add the link on my main page to the new article... At first this system worked (very little content), but now it's very cumbersome. I was wondering if anyone knew a solution to this problem. (Worst case I can code my own solution to it, but I don't really have the time to do that.)

Needs:
1) I don't want to have to create a new page for every article.
Maybe have one page that checks a database and loads the article assigned to the link that was clicked.

2) I want a place that my writers can log into, (different user permissions obviously), upload / create their article (with pictures) through their browser.

3) Let my editors also log into the same system and edit the articles that are pending acceptance.

4) Easily link the article page to the rest of the website.

I would like to stick with free open source software (without any rights to the content I upload through their software), but I am willing to pay money if need be.

Thanks for any info,

You might try here (http://www.interlogy.com/products/content/article/). I just typed "article manager" into Google. Try that also.
