I want to add a comments type page to my website so that my friends (enemies???) can post comments/tell the stories as they saw them. Just a simple name/comment form that will then get displayed on the page.

Generally I'm prretty good at searching for info on "how to" and sussing it out, but on this one I haven't been able to think of a good search string that brings up what I want.

Sooooo....anyone able to point me in the right direction. A url with info, basic coding (in whatever - I'm flexible), whatever I would be be rather grateful :D

Rather than re-invent the wheel, have you tried looking at script repositories, like www.hotscripts.com yet?

I'm all for re-using someone's wheel. I'm taking a look at hotscripts now but same issue - feels like I'm searching for a needle in a haystack.

Try searching under "guestbooks"

If that doesn't work, consider using the page to start a blog that you can write to. If you set the permissions to allow comments, your guests and regulars can comment on your entries. www.wordpress.org is very good for this.

Thanks! Appreciate the 'shove'. I'll check all your suggestions out. Sounds like I might be able to find what I need in one of these places.

I hope whatever you choose works out for you and your target audience :).
