Automatic popup for bookmarking site

I am looking for code that will automatically popup a "Add to your favorites" box when someone enters my site. The only thing I want to make sure it does is recognize when someone already has bookmarked the site and not deliver the popup if they have.

Any ideas?

simple answer? don't.

if i am visiting any site online, even for a moment i do not want to be bothered with a "HEY OMG BOOKMARK YES PLZ!!!111!1.one" message. if i came across one, i would add it to my blocked bookmark list.
