Looking for the right forum for me…

Hello all… what I need, and what I am hoping someone has experience of is a forum which I can easily modify to my needs.

1: I want to be able to let my guests use the forum without signing in for a second time… i.e. use their site membership to grant entry to the forum.

2: have a forum that I can skin / theme / modify to reflect my site… and that it is easy to do…

Any ideas???

the site is PHP driven with a MySQL database and just a hint of Ajax for the fun of it...

You could use vbulletin combined with vbindex, as we do here. There's only 1 login for this main site and forum both, because vbindex is designed to work with vbulletin and provide a main page of content.
