Hi All,

I'm trying to connect a MS Access database to one of my web pages using Abode's dynamic link feature. For the config folder URL I've entered, http://localhost <http://localhost>:82/www.interactivebyu.com/.

My site file sit on I:\Interactive By U folder\Interactive By U, but I've placed the config folder in I:\Dynamic Link\Server Pages\asp\config. I've changed the config pathing around so that it's was also in the interactive by u folder, but I still can't connect the DB to the server (error message: "error connecting to the server. switch to offline until a new server is selected").

Someone suggested it was a firewall issue, but my IT group says it doesn't matter since I'm trying to link to the DB internally.

I'm not sure what I'm missing, any ideas or other suggestions? :)

Hi rgold,
I find that using the GoLive 'point and shoot' button to make links solves all my problems, since it leaves it up to the software to write the path. May be a solution in Adobe's info pages:http://www.adobe.com/web/tips/glvvtco/main.html

Thank you Occupant for your suggestion. The pop up window for the dynamic link feature doesn't have the point and shoot option. However, the point & shoot is a great way to link graphics and text into a web pages. I agree.

What I'm looking to do is a little different, but still something that Adobe GoLive supports. I just haven't figure out how to make the correct connection with my server and the program.

I appreciate the link to Adobe. I will look around on their site to see if they have a example & solution to my problem.

Thanks again.
