Hi,

Not sure where this should go, so I posted it here and on the Javascript forum. Anyway, Everytime I open ANY html document in FrontPage that contains the following coding, Microsoft FrontPage 2003 freezes on me...

<center><IFRAME NAME="content_frame" width="550" height="100"
SRC="http://photos.adamsweather.com/disclaimer2.htm">
This site uses floating frames
</IFRAME></center><p>

I have been using this code for years and never had a problem till a week or so ago. I have tried it on other computers and the same thing happens. Does anyone know what the problem is? Any help would be great!

Thanks!

I don't know, but if it were me (and I actually used FrontPage), I would start by searching the FrontPage section of the MS site (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/FX010858021033.aspx) to see if there's a known bug (and hopefully a patch or work-around).

dont use iframes. They mess up your webpage. use the style="overflow: auto;"

What happened a week or so ago? Did you update FrontPage or your browser? iframe works in IE6 and causes no problem in FrontPage2000 (except that it ignores iframe display in normal mode). I cannot see any reason to abandon iframes - they dont muck up my pages and are in fact a great help. FrontPage ignores other things too but you can always use a text editor and check display in your browser. It's a shame if FrontPage2003 freezes up but FrontPage2000 does as well for me on odd occasions when attempting preview mode.

I did not do any update to FrontPage or my browser. I am still using iframes as I also find them very useful. Since I have posted here I have managed to find a way to get around it when updating a page to prevent it from crashing, so for the time being I will just do that. Thanks for your help!

Unam. How do iframes muck up your pages? In my browser there is no problem. Using overflow:auto also works and produces an identical result as far as I can see. Neither method displays correctly in FrontPage2000 normal mode. Are these problems all in FrontPage rather than in the browser?
