Hello all, i am looking for some direction.

I have develped basic web sites and maintain a few. They are all information based and are not very interactive.

I have a new client that wants to run part of her retail business from her web site. We are friends and she wants me to do the site. This means I've got to learn how to do it.

Can you please point me in the right direction to learn how to sell items and accept credit cards through the web site?

I am familiar with Dreamweaver and basic HTML tags.

Also, she wants to pay me, but i don't have any idea what to charge. how do i determine what is fair for web site development and maintenance?

Thanks,
Marc Gamble

I just read the sticky barring all discussion of money, rates, etc. please do not respond to that. I'd hate to get kicked off over my first post.

Well, i can certanilly help you you should learn php then search for 2checkout apis and this allows you to connect to 2checkout server. you dont have to use 2checkout api you can use the many other 3rd party payment systems like paypal. this way you can easilly connect the api system to ur software i recommend in learning php and mysql if you got any more questions feel free 2 ask me :)
