Hello all, I am searching for a web technology for displaying dynamic traces (i.e. share prices, temperatures etc.) as part of a new project.
My new project will be extracting live continuous data from a database at a set rate (i.e. every 5 seconds)
The data returned will be in the form of numeric data which then needs to be turned into a trace (effectively a line graph)
I have previous experience with authorware and director, but think Flash could be the answer for this.
Should I be considering anything else? My reasons for selecting flash are the ready availability of the plug in and its OS independance.
I would really appreciate your thoughts, is this possible/difficult?
