Sorry if this has been asked before but I just can't seem to get an answer to this and Paypal don't reply to any of the emails I send.

I'm building a website for someone who is advertising a holiday villa in Spain. The website lets people check availability, select the dates they want, then calculates the costs for the stay based on a number of parameters. At this point I want to be able to let them pay for it (initially the deposit and then later return to the site to pay the balance). Is this something that can be done by Paypal and if so what type of account do they need? Is there a better way of doing it than Paypal? Would really appreciate any advice as have been going round in circles with it for some time now.

Well I tend to think most of the people who can afford to rent a villa in spain wouldn't be avid paypal users. Just my best guess.

use some credit card processor, so the users can use their creditt cards directly on your website, well you can use paypal as an option as well.

Well, you can use PayPal to accept Creadit Cart payments, but you must take care of intial payments and balance payments before diverting the user to paypal for credit card transactions.

Basically PayPal validates CreditCard details and ensures that the card is valid or not and credits the amount to your PayPal account. You should have any of PayPal personal, premier or business accounts. I think for now a personal account will work for you, a business account will have many other features, but all the accounts are for free.

PayPal charges a maximum of 3% per each transaction you made.

If you any further queries, feel free to contact through email

Good luck
