hello
i'm fairly new to flash
and am starting to understand the animation aspect of it, but what interests me more is the scripting side of it, can anyone suggest actionscript books
which cover and explain the process?

thanks in advance

O'REILLY actionscript guide is a good ref.
To learn I suggest video actionscript tutorials
or just going to tutorial web pages they have out there for actionscript.

decide on something you want to do then figure it out
ie. create a box and have the bow move across the screen and repreat at _x start with this then your ideas will start to grow.

We tend to use a lot of books but I'd recommend as a starter The ActionScript Bible. It covers everything and gives a nice broad base to start from. From that point if you see any particular part you're interested then you can start to look in these areas. You can do a lot worse than the Friends of Ed series too.
