google only indexing my index page

I've had my site up for around a month now, and for that month google has only been showing my index page, it doesnt seem to have cached any other pages on my site.

I've provided google sitemaps with a txt file of all the links within my site, and it doesnt seem to have made much difference.

I have links on other websites to my site, and google is not counting them as backlinks, even though it's cached those sites and the cached pages have a link to my site on them.

Anyone any ideas why it might be?

Some times it will take Google a while to cache your pages. Did Google visit your other pages though?

I think Google no longer display all the backlinks if you use the "link" command.

I've made some changes to my site today, and I'll see how it goes.

Give it time - I was in the same boat as you, did the sitemap thing etc, took ages - then all of a sudden most of the rest of my pages were indexed too. Not all of them mind you - but I guess it will come. That was the end of April/beginning of May this year - now I have 100+ pages indexed and my home page has a PR of 4. Patience.....and good luck!
