Hello, i've owned http://www.jokes-archive.com now for about a year and a half and have had time to shave the site up a bit.

The site is not w3c compliant, and all that stuff that is mentioned in the sticky above, doesn't really apply to my site. It's not a site intended for the blind and stuff.

I would like just comments on the layout, colour schemes, positioning of objects, improvements, etc...
Owyea... it's not a site intended for 800x600 users. They only make up 3% of my visitors, and my visitor quota isn't high enough to bother to adapt my site to fit their needs. I want the layout sorted out nice enough, before I even start thinking making a duplicate for 800x600 specs.

[Thanks for taking the time to read the sticky notes at the top of this forum. Very few people do!]

Your design is OK, but not very impressive. It looks like a business template with several design ideas thrown in, not necessarily in keeping with the "template's" look.

You've already requested that no one care about your coding, so I'll skip my usual look into that.

yea, I have used a template for my website as a basis to start out.
I've learned a long long time ago that it's not worth the effort to waste your time on making a nice layout you like when other people already have done it.

The background, logo and stuff is all mine ;) the only thing that isn't mine are the purple background pictures and the menu on the left CSS code, but the rest is all my doing.

I'm not very gifted in graphical design choosing, I'm always in dubio to chose what, it's easier to take an existing thing and to modify it to your own needs.
