I am looking for advice to find what you consider to be the best all round text for beginners to css. I don't want the book to make any assumptions about my knowledge of html but take me as a rank beginner and lead me through all of the fundamental processes of buidling web pages with css.

I want the instruction to be clear and concise with loads of good examples and without the assumption of jargonised knoweldge.

Does it exist ?

Thanks

"HTML for the World Wide Web: 5th edition"

author: Elizabeth Castro.

This book will just about cover everything you need. I like 5th edition because it gets into XHTML and CSS. 4th edition is HTML.

I agree with WebJoel, it's the same book that taught me, all those many moons ago.
