[RESOLVED] simple contract to buy domain name

Howdy, newbie here.

I have a chance to buy a non-operating domain name. I read the caveat regarding contracts and agree. However, is there a simple 1 page (or a few pages) contract that would suffice for a simple purchase?

Gosh I can't say I've ever really bothered to go though a contract to buy a domain name.

Do you not trust the person your looking to buy the domain from? If so will a contract really help? I would think a handshake and simple Yes and proper receipt would do the trick.

You can check Google, for instance (http://www.timothywalton.com/formcontract.html). (I don't know the guy but it's just one source.)

That looks like it should work. Thanks guys. The org from whom I am buying the domain name is 'very' formal is their approach to everything. Again, thanks for the help. I'm sure I'll be a regular yacker on this forum when I get it up and running.
