i was given an image that was somewhat pixelated...is there a way i can smooth it out in photoshop cs?

"Despeckle" (Filter > Noise) might do it. Depends on how pixelated it is.

YOu might want to try the blur tool on a very faint setting

There isn't a whole lot of magic you can do - blurring is still going to be blurring, and you will lose more detail with it. I can't tell you the number of clients I've had tell me "Can't you just enlarge it?" *sigh*

If you are lucky and the image is fairly simple (not a photograph), it can be a pretty quick affair to just re-draw it by hand. I've had to do that with a number of logos where I get sent a web-based image and they want us to use it in a print logo (we need it at least 150dpi, 200-300 preffered, in the newspaper industry).

haha its a photograph...and i can relate..i hate that ****..haha...it was just for fun so i said **** it ill do it some other time neway..
