Keyword Density Manipulation

In an attempt to bring my keyword density down to 9.7% from 11.86% can I hide a useless few sentences of text on my site, by setting the text color to the background color, or will the google spider interpret it as "keyword stuffing" and penalize me?

Google could penalize you for that. The best way to reduce your keyword density is to rewrite the copy on the page. And might I add you're the first person I've ever heard ask how to REDUCE keyword density :p Why do you want to? Keep the text short, sweet and to the point. Users will love it. Google will like it.

I was doing an experiment to see if i could get exactly 9.7% keyword density on each page. I didn't want over 10% because Google could interpret it as spam. I wanted to create a formula to work with but I have now realized that I was just on the path to Term Vector Theory. Read about at http://www.miislita.com/.

dont stuff or hide. if google doesnt pic it up now then they will. if you feel that you really need that many keywords on your page then try to add to your overall content. this will stabilize your keyword density.

Keyword stuffing may work for a while, but eventually the search engines will pick up on it and the page might be dropped from the index. The best way out is to add more content to the page or remove less important keywords.
