Hi

I need to delete parts of some paths I have created so they fit exactly into the green background as you can see here www.covers.biz/images/head-office-map.gif, the page will need a logo above and text below the map, i just need to get rid of the path bits that stray over the green background, anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

You could just create a clipping mask to mask out the areas that you don't want. That would be the simplest. Just open the file in Illy, draw a rectangle on top of the image that encompasses everyting you want to show. Select All, then go to Object > Clipping Mask > Make.

You could also use the Pathfinder palette to delete those parts, but that's better for shapes - it gets a bit sticky with paths.

Hello,

There are manny ways to do that, one of them is to use the knife tool and cut where you want, the other way that is the quickest and easy method is to create a white rectangle and put it on front of the path, than you lock the object.
