I need help making a poll

I'm quite new at this, but I want to know more about cgi and stuff. A friend of mine wants to have a poll on his page and he asked me if I knew how to do so... Unfortunately, I don't, so I lay down my question over here, hoping that someone of you wants to help me with this problem...

Is there a specific problem you're having while making it? I don't think anyone's going to write the entire program for you.

Is it that difficult, than...?? Or does anyone know a program with which I can make a poll? I can learn by dooing it once I get such a program...

It's not difficult if you know how to do it :)

If you want to find an already existing poll program, just search google for "poll cgi". Though, the majority of scripts available are buggy and insecure, and not very good to learn from. I could recommend a place to learn, but you havn't said what language you wish to use.

I most certainly would like to learn about cgi and stuff.. Preferably in Dutch, but English shouldn't be to much of a problem as well. That means, if you meant that with the language. It might be that you meant some kind of programming language and than, I don't know what to answer for I don't know anything about that... In that case, you can maybe give me a hint or so about which is best...

I was referring to a computer language. The two best choices for server-side programming right now are Perl/CGI and PHP. PHP is geared specifically toward Web applications, whereas Perl is a general purpose programming language. My personal choice is Perl because it is a full programming language, there is virtually no restriction to what you can do with it.
