I made a bit of a stupid mistake... I forgot I had a username here and so made a new user... now I was wondering if my OLD user could be deleted, as this one (being my "new" one) still has active topics running...

That's OK. Both accounts had the same e-mail address. I've removed the Zifweb profile.
