Hey Everyone!

I'm designing a major section of my college's new webpage. Here's my issue:

For my navigational drop-down menus at the top of the page, am I better off designing them in DHTML or in Flash?

The main homepage is designed almost entirely in Flash.

I'm a little skeptical about using Flash for the nav menu due to some loading times (even though the files would be VERY small).

However, I'm also a little concerned about using DHTML for WIN/MAC/UNIX & browser compatibility reasons.

What are the pros and cons of each? Would you suggest Flash or DHTML?

Thanks!

Charles

Normally I would say don't use flash becuse if people don't/can't have flash they won't be able to even navigate the site.
However since you say most of the site if flash anyway, those people are pretty much screwed anyway so that argument falls off.

And in that light using flash menus instead of DHTML is probably less work and thus a better option.

However I would like to suggest that the entire site should be redesigned to use flash only to make it prettier while all actuall content is accessible even without flash.
