[RESOLVED] Upload to a remote server

Hey

I've never done anything before with uploading files. But, what I'm working on, I want to upload unto a remote server. All the information is put into an form, and then submited to the mySQL database. From there, I withdraw the data.

Now, I have found out how to connect to a FTP Account (http://www.w3schools.com/php/php_ref_ftp.asp) , and I have found out how to upload to a local server (http://www.w3schools.com/php/php_file_upload.asp). But, can I upload to a remote server? Anyone have a tutorial for that?
