I have recently started creating my web page and have a web domain. However I do find the site builders limiting to how I want my site to be.

I have saved my word documents as html docs and from there I understand that I should be able to save them in my 'htdocs' and crete a link to these documents from my web page.

When I try and save my document in the 'htdoc' folder I click on 'save as' select 'my network places/ftp.motoscopix.co.uk folder it says 'you cannot save in the folder you specified. Please choose another location.'

Please can anybody help me resolve my problem.

Thanks in anticipation.

Paul

Well I've yet to see Word produce anything I'd want to put on the web but have you ever gotten that location to work? I.e. do you actually have an FTP mapping defined? Does your host perhaps run the FP extensions so you can map a web drive to your site? That will give you a view that correlates to your web browser's view so it's less confusing. For FTP you'll need to know where in the server's file system you'll find your doc root (often something like /www/htdocs).

Ok, that's hosted on IIS 6 so it's probably got the FP extensions loaded. Try creating an http://motoscopix.co.uk web folder in your "network places" then you can just drag and drop your stuff there.
