I've searched this site and the htmlgoodies place, and couldn't find anywhere that describes how to place html into an email.

My company would like to send out a brocher to our mailing list, without having to use an attachment (since many people are leary about opening those), or without just having them click a link to the brocher on our server.

So how do you put html into an email and have it successfully work? Or better yet, is there an actual page that deals with this? I tried just the normal web format, but when I sent it to my 2nd email and opened it up, all I got back was the code. I know my email can handle it, however it is done, since I have recieved emails from others doing this exact thing, but I can't figure out how to do it myself.

My basic format was a table (with text) and a few pictures (the brocher broken up into html instead of just scanned as a large image)... to avoid just having a large image for them to load up. So I also need to know how to have those smaller pictures on it targetted, can I just target the url they are sitting at, or does that have to be an attachment that is targetted, etc.

Thank you for any help you can give.

Did you send the email as html? and pictures can be referenced to a url.

Did I send the email as an html?
Well I'm not sure how that would be done on aside from in the body of the email, putting
<HTML>
<BODY>
etc
</BODY>
</HTML>

...Hmmm okay I saw an option in Outlook Express that had the option for Rich Text or HTML... So I assume that if I use HTML and then use the tags, they will work as I hope? I can't test it till tomorrow as this computer isn't configured to send emails.

Yes i think that's correct. It's an option on the menu bars what format you wish to send it as.

If that fails what I usually do is set the file as 'stationary' in outlook. You can choose what file to create the stationary from and you're away. (I only wanted the company logo on when I did it)

No idea. What does AOL give you? (is it software, an online form or what?)

Thank you all. At first I couldn't get it to work, but I did manage to get the stationary way to work, except I didn't want to have to be relying on that approach everytime... After a little messing around with the webpage you linked to, I got it to work perfectly. So thanks to all who helped.
