I'm setting up ASP.net store front Demo Using SQL:
Getting the following error and have no idea what to "fix" or change.
I'm using Visual Web Developer Express to start everything up.


An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

Hi, although I don't know what "store front" is, based on your error message, I think .net is trying to connect to Sql2k5 (standard), but VWD only come with Sql2k5(express).

Do you have Sql2k5 standard installed?
