these forums are for programers to come ask questions to other programers. Here you can learn just about anything if the right person reads your thread. You can choose many different languages and ask specific programing questions directed toward that language...

As Greelmo said, it is a place where programmers--more specifically Web developers--come to ask questions. These questions are answered voluntarily, and none of the members here--or even moderators/administrators, if I'm correct (and I better be ;))--get paid to answer them.
If you're speaking of this forum individually, it is where "common" or "non-related" questions go--but they are to stay on topic. Example, many people post questions about "Please review my site," or, "I'm just starting and I need some help." And that is fine. This forum is also for General discussion on many topics of Web development, such as dyslexia (www.dyslexia.com), site design, and site critique.

Just thought I'd clear up a few things for ya. ;)
