Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any advice/tips on using grahics from a psd file in Flash. What is the best format to save graphics in (gif, png, jpeg)? Using ImageReady or Photoshop?

Thanks!

For simple graphic and animation less than 1 second, eg logos, animated buttons etc use gif. Gif can have a maximum of 256 colours, support simple transparent, and in general if the animation is very short, gif product much smaller file than flash animation.

Use Jpeg for high quanlity pictures, like photo. Jpeg can have a maximum of 16bit depth colour. But it does not support transparent.

Png-24bit support 24bit colour, and fully suport transparent, but product a much larger file.

For any animation longer than 2 seconds better use flash than gif.
