I am currently designing a site for a friends business, however he has hosting with Yahoo so it is somewhat restrictive as far as what I can use.
-I need to be able to use my forms input to create a profile, which the user can access with a username and password.
-Also, I need to be able to charge a fee for membership to this site. Due to some yahoo restrictions I may need to use their provided catalog and shopping cart which is fine, but once all is said and done how can I create the username and password so that they may post items to the forums.
-I am currently using a mySQL database, but I am still trying to figure out how to tie all this together and restrict pages to different level members. I am new to using CGI with databases, and to be honest I have no clue what PHP is.
Any help that could be provided would be most appreciated.
