Not 5 minutes after I said it, collection agency have posted a card...
They are still trying to get hold of Mr Michael Saunders who I have informed the agency that the records that they have are wrong yet they persist.
Is it me or is their a distinct lack of comprehension in todays work places?
Anyway, my point...
0845 300 9416 belongs to: http://www.lowellgroup.co.uk and I found this also on the internet http://news.umailcampaign.com/message/4171.aspx which makes me think that this company is only intrested in you calling them as the number is a premium rate number which can charge upto £1.50 a minute, they get a majority of that cash for operating a revenue based 0845 number, bet they are on a nice earner. Average call is about £5-6 for 3/4 mins, so one person only needs to take 12 calls an hour and theyre earning a fair old whack, ID say a conservative figure of about £72 an hour, if they have say 20 staff, £1440 per hour, an average day of say 8 hours = £11,520 for a days work taking the *iss out of punters and then making them pay through the courts as well!
Watch yourselves and never take a debt collection agencies word for it, go legal if you can, it puts the *hits up them coz its going to take more money from them to chase you. A simple counterstrike and counter claim usually does the trick stating that your will sieze goods and chattles to cover your loss. I have only ever hads to go to a solicitor once, they sent a letter & the agency soon shut up.
