What I See Is Not What I Get - Dreamweaver

Hi,

Since I have started working with css I have noticed that my page in the Editor is usually garbage compared to what I see when I check in my Browsers. Is this normal for css ? When I used tables what I saw in the Editor was really pretty much the same as what I saw in the Browser.

For myself I am not really concerned as long as it comes out okay in the Browser, however I would be a little concerned for a client with a cms who needs to be able to see that what they are doing in the editor is what they are going to get.

I'd be grateful for your thoughts.

That is pretty normal for Dreamweaver. You just have to remember that the DW browser is not a real browser and cannot be relied upon for accuracy. I use F12 for Firefox, Ctrl-F12 for IE, and I almost never leave code view. When I need to check the page, I just check it in FF or IE with the keyboard shortcuts.
