I've been reading through some of the posts about css issues within IE. I recently move one of my sites offsite to a linux server and all of the sudden I'm having trouble linking to my external css and javascript files. It doesn't seem to happen with Firefox, but with IE it happens every other time I access the site. It's strange that the error is not consistent and the fact that it works in FF tells me the code is probably okay. Nonetheless I tried changing the paths from relative to absolute and that usually fixes it, but then the next time I open it up the link is broken again. What the heck?!?!
Has anyone encountered this before? Could there be permissions issues with this directory. I tried setting the dirs to 755, but I'm still having the same problem. I also encountered some inconsistent behavior with a .htaccess file (half the file was read fine, but the other half wasn't). I wonder if these things are related?
Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!
