.tk is free (http://www.dot.tk/en/index.html). Keep in mind that since it's free you won't own the domain, but they give you the option to own it by paying. But, if you wanted to pay, you might as well pay to get a better extention like a .com, and for a much cheaper price.

I know of free Subdomains, and there are so many of those it's ridiculous! Just google "Free Sub domains", you'll find good results.

i would pay for it, but im not doing a commercial site. its an info site for my school. (they asked me if i could get sumpin for free)
