Are these logical or physical drives?

How many actual hard drives do you have in your computer?

Logical Drive.

HDD size is 40gb.

At this moment, C is 9.75gb , D is 14.6gb, E is 12.8gb.

I remember using Partition Magic one time to take a 200gb C: drive and making a 10 gb C: Drive and a 190gb D: drive. I don't know if it will work in reverse or not. You have to have enough unused space available on the drive you will be taking from.

Why don't you just back everything up you need, and reload your OS. Then you can partition your drives during that process.

A 40GB drive is small enough, why do you want partitions on there that are any smaller?
