hi all...

I did this job for the small company i work with...
The company site used to be a full flash site, but it didn't work to well...
I did this website on a css template and went on from there...
All pages passed w3c validation check, and the css also passed validation.
Goal is a site that looks nice and is viewable for everyone.

-The site is in 3 languages, but i'm still waiting for the translations so only dutch is availeble now.

-The site is placed on temp spot, not 100% ready yet.

*IMPORTANT* there is a bug in the site. Sometimes the content will be moved down the page a bit. A "F5" solves this, and you only seem to get this when you load the site for the first time. I get the impression that it puts the content block below the menu block. Any1 know how to solve this? Or where it comes from?

thx all....

Some observations:

- The dutch main page isn't very inviting. Is the big company logo needed in the content area since it already is in the header? How about that annoying moving white box flash-thingy? And the hand on a mouse then? I would consider moving the company info as the main part of that page and maybe place some product pics there as well.

- The ugly W3C banners are 'bye-gones' in company websites. They are only really used in personal homepages if even then. You can replace it with a "valid xhtml" link if you wish, but even that isn't necessary.

- You have some header-texts underlined. This is a bad practise since they just add confusion as to are they clickable or not.

- Font size is a bit too small (I'm on 1280x1024).

although there are no errors on your pages, there are a few warnings. If I were you, I woud sort those out too. I agree on the w3 tabs, they are not needed. If the site is working from one template, how come the navigation for the other two languages has 'arrow.jpg' writtin next to the links?

also, for me, whenever I click a new link on the navigation, the whole layout shifts 1 or 2 pixels from side to side. Little distracting.

- still asking for text content to replace the company logo on the "home"... an issue i already reported, still waiting for some text content.
The annoying white flash thingy is bit obligated by our partner, never realised it was THAT annoying, lol

-Good point, maybe it is good to throw them out...

-I know what you mean. I assumed ppl only see underline as links when they have a different color. maybe i have to make custom pics to act as a title, as i do in the "products" section.

-too small. I also use 1280x1024, i can read it.Most ppl seem to be able to read it, but maybe not bad to make it a little bigger.

thx 4 suggestions.

I didn't start on the other languages sections, i don't have the translations yet. Putted in "flag" links already though.

argh, i have to check that, that would be VERY anoying (the 1-2 pixel shift), weird as all pages are came from the same page. have to check...

thx
