I wonder what you think about the design of http://www.pooq.org/index.php.
I am especially interested if the usage is understandable and what can be done better. So I would be happy to get feedback.
On my other project http://www.pooq.org/z/index.php I am still working on new features. But maybe you have some ideas what need to be added or changed?
For both sites I wonder whether the right language is presented as both sites are multilingual.
Thank you for your help.

You've mixed languages. There seems to be no organization of links, so I would have a hard time finding anything. When you enter the page, it is not clear what the purpose of the site is. I'm thinking this an attempt to spam search engines.

About design... I recommend add more colors.
By the way I like links with gif animation. Very cute!:)

It's very pretty - but I'm not sure if that's your goal.
I'm also not sure of your purpose (wrong language for me) It looks like a forum which means participants would already know why they are there - but newcomers wouldn't. Maybe just a brief description on the home page rather than jumping right in. Still, it's pretty..

thank for the reviews so far.
unfortunally it seems to be worse than i feared with the navigation or even getting an idea what the goal of the site is...
i have reworked the layout and reararranged the forms. do you think it is more logically that way ?? --> reworked it (http://www.pooq.org/)
@sitehatchery:
- did you mean mixed languages in the navigation (it should have been all in english for you - supposing that english is your native language)?
- well the organization is "last used". i moved the selection to the left where i think it is more visible. i selected "last used" as preselected sorting because i wanted to show the user links right from the beginning and if i were preselecting "best ranked" or "last added" the same links would be used more often.
- i don't exactly know yet what to do which the links of different languages. most links are german or english in description. but most germans do speak english as well. and many links are multilingual even though the description is written in only one language. an addition there are sites (e.g. picture galleries) linked which do not need a language to visit.
thats why i decided to list all links - the user can filter the languages if he wants to.
what do you think?
@Speedle:
- Well, i had more colors in an earlier version. But there were many people telling me to use as few colors as possible...
@KatieZ:
- so you are english speaker but got the german navigation ? or were only s(some of) the links in foreign language?
- a description would surely help. but it would mean a kind of defeat to my design trials. my goal is to make the usage of the website clear by the layout.
(as i failed in the first go do you think the new layout is a step on the right way ?)
thanks to the feedback to all :)
If you have more feedback please post it - i am looking forward to read it...

@ MadamZuZu: Aaargh, Last night I just got the tipp to make the background DARKER. And so did I. Now you say lighter...
I think I will note that down and decide later on colors. Thanks for being the second vote on the list ;)

I did some reworking the last days.
Mainly tried to get a better structure for navigation. But I also made the site lighter and better readable.
What do you think about it now ?
