IE7 has some cool features, such as the quick tabs, which allows you to view all the tabs you are viewing, as a thumbnail image. You can Zoom in and out, and it actually zooms, and not just enlarges the text, there is a Phishing Filter, which checks to see if the page is legit or not. there are add-ons which you can download, well that is about all it does that is "NEW".
If you have it.. Do you like it?

No. IE7 is nine years behind web standards and holds back the web. CNET recommends no one use it for day to day browsing.
i recommend firefox thats all i have to say.

I just can't get myself excited about IE7 and it purported 'new features', -features which have existed on other browsers for many years now. And other browsers are proven to be more secure, although I did read recently an article about a couple of potential weaknesses in Mozilla's Firefox 2.0, and the article more-or-less recommended that if you are currently using Firefox 1.5, best to wait for the next milestone.
Myself, I have Firefox 2.0 and it seems to be holding up fine. I do sometime cause it to lock-up and want to shut-down if in a forum (such as here) and have several windows open and navigate backwards too fast, looking for something. That may just be an issue with not enough memory (I have about 256MB RAM, -about half enough to run VISTA as I understand it... so maybe increasing my RAM to a GiG would help in all regards).
I just don't trust IE and the new release? -I trust it even less.

Is IE7 OK? Perhaps you'd care to take a look at my thread in the general forum? http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=127350 I'm getting a bit bored with Billy's boys!

IE7 has some cool features . . . quick tabs . . . Zoom in and out . . . a Phishing Filter . . . add-onsThe quick tabs, though it may seem neat at first glance, is not something I can ever see myself using; I can know what tab I want just from the title.
The zoom might actually be a useful feature for those with bad eyesight. There is a lot of text that is shown only as an image on the Web now. This zoom should allow people to enlarge these textual images as well as normal text.
A phishing filter, assuming it works effectively, will be good for the more illiterate computer users.
And the add-ons feature, though new to IE, is not very new. I also hope they put better security controls on it. It used to be that third-party programs would constantly add their own tool bars to IE without the user being asked or even told.
I did read recently an article about a couple of potential weaknesses in Mozilla's Firefox 2.0, and the article more-or-less recommended that if you are currently using Firefox 1.5, best to wait for the next milestone.Do you still have this article? I usually check Secunia -- a reputable vulnerability intelligence provider. Secunia has 0 advisories listed for FF 2 (http://secunia.com/product/12434/) and 3 advisories for IE 7 (http://secunia.com/product/12366/). The IE 7 advisories have been given an overall rating of moderately critical.

Yeah, and it's still nine years behind web standards, old, buggy, non-standard, and the worst browser on the planet. IE is a cancer on the web. Use ANYTHING but IE.
