Hi,
We have always had trouble with google rankings. I think the problem might be related to Unreachable URL's that googles diagnostic tool is finding...

HTTP errors (8)
Not found (27)
URLs not followed (0)
URLs restricted by robots.txt (0)
URLs timed out (0)
Unreachable URLs (1191)

When we click on these unreachable URLs the pages work and are reachable to users. It is a dynamic site and we use linkfreeze to create links that appear static. I have also noticed that all the Unreachable URLs are http://widgit.co.uk/etcetc and not http://www.widgit.co.uk/etcetc. Does the lack of www matter?

I searched several forums for similar problems but could not find any useful info. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,

James

I've never used link freeze, but it looks to me as if you've just answered your own question. I think adding the "www" definitely sounds like a good idea. In my experience you sometimes have to really lead Google by the hand when it comes to directing it to pages on your website. I think the lack of www would certainly be enough to send Google astray.
