Visual design is quite good. Maybe you need a link close to the login box called "why join?" and explain costs (probably free from what I can see) and benefits of signing up - people are naturally suspicious about signing up if they don't know the consequences.

Also, if you have "VALID XHTML" on there, it would be advisable to make sure it is - 18 errors and 11 warnings is not too valid......

Design is good looking. Simple and decent.
Navigation is lot easier aswell.
Put some live data in there first. Then there will be signups if there are some features not available for public.
