Photo uploads

I have created several sites using standard forms to upload photos. I would like to "upgrade" to what I have seen a few other sites doing on the net. A photo upload tool that lets you manipulate the photo right as you are uploading it. Gives you a progress bar and the works. I have searched high and low online and cant seem to find anything I can drop in and use. Is there such a premade thing I can use? Or do I need to have someone develope one from scratch?
