Charles 07-11-2003, 04:45 AM You can request just the HTTP response header. I would use Perl and the LWP::Simple module but that's because I've a copy of Perl running locally. Perhaps there's something in Java that you could use. DaveSW 07-11-2003, 10:24 AM You could put the address in here and you will find the file sizes I believe http://netmechanic.com/toolbox/html-code.htm It's under 'load time' fla5hba5h 07-12-2003, 03:13 AM It takes awhile to navigate through and find the size. I tried amazon.com and here's what I got: This report shows how quickly your page loads at several common modem speeds. URL: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/subst/home/ home.html Date Tested: Saturday, July 12, 4:09 EDT Page Rating: Rating Criteria: Standard Total Page Size: 0 bytes Total Graphics: 0 bytes - 0 image Server Connections: 1 Modem Speed Download Time 14.4k 2.00 seconds 28.8k 2.00 seconds 56k 2.00 seconds ISDN (128k) 2.00 seconds T1 (1.44 MB) 2.00 seconds fla5hba5h 07-26-2003, 01:54 AM Anyone know a site? webdeveloper.com
