Does anyone know how to find out the size of a webpage, without actually loading it?

You can request just the HTTP response header. I would use Perl and the LWP::Simple module but that's because I've a copy of Perl running locally. Perhaps there's something in Java that you could use.

You could put the address in here and you will find the file sizes I believe

It takes awhile to navigate through and find the size.

I tried amazon.com and here's what I got:
