I'm looking to throw a few questions at someone how has some linux experience as a server.

I'm not looking for any major help here, I just have a few issues.

I've just got a dedicated linux server and I'm looking for some answers.

Many members here use Linux. I'd recommend posting questions in the General forum within the Server-Side forum if the questions have to do with Linux web server issues. If it's more about using or installing/configuring Linux (not specifically web server issues), probably the Computer Issues forum would be best.

I already posted in the computer issues forum but got no answers so thought I would post here.

Basically what I have is a brand new server that has 1gig mem and is using around 700meg unloaded. Now to me a linus server using this is unreal, so what I need is someone to be able to tell me what I can safely kill.

Hell, if someone is willing to take this on as a permanent position (to make sure the server is 99% uptime) I will give them 1 gig webspace (unlimited MySQL, php5, CGI, etc etc...).

Help welcome...must like Stereophonics/Radiohead.....lol
