How would I use Adobe Photoshop to make a forum skin that I could really use on like an Invisionfree-based forum? Do i need to make each image seperate, or make one big layout?

you cant just do a Photoshop cutout for a forum template.

best method which I tend to use is find a template as near to what you want as possible then swap the images for what you want and make a few changes to the layout

So how do those people make the templates....

A template is just a series of individual images/colors, that when entered into the forums edit skin area create the overall look.

Most forum apps have an FAQ somewhere (support forum?) that describes the process.
