...just a general 'puter question

...all of a sudden, my screen scrolls crazy...if I'm in notepad, the page just scrolls whenever and wherever it pleases. The focus() seems to go somewhere other than where it should be...is this behavior an act of a dysfunctional mouse, or do I have another, immediate problem inherent to my OS?
BTW, it is somewhat of an irregular pattern...sometimes it does it, and sometimes it doesn't...

Any clues...?

Accidentally pressed wheel on mouse?? my mum got into a panic when she saw my screen scrolling along - hadn't realised she'd pressed the wheel.

Other than that, dunno. reinstall drivers? buy new mouse? resinstall OS?

...well, I guess I'll grab a new mouse...then go from there

If you are in Notepad then just use the mouse to click on an area inside of the file. It should reset the focus.
