Hi,
I am looking for reviews, comments and constructive criticism on my first real attempt at a website Gorkys FC (www.gorkysfc.co.uk).
I would like to know what you think of the site but also the competitions as we are trying to get sponsorship and are using competitions as a way to drive people to our site.
Thoughts welcome!
Thanks
Will
- The alignment of the columns is off, when the page is viewed in Firefox.
- the red header icons are cool, but overuse of them creates page clutter. I suggest using them for only "hot" topics.
- the orange text is a bit hard to read
- you have a link TO the homepage ON the homepage
Keep working at it --
Good Luck -

Thanks for that KDLA,
I created it for an 800x600 res but in 1024 x 768. The columns, when I view it in Firefox on the web, are in the middle and aligned. I notice your res is higher than mine but I don't know how to maintain the columns central positioning if someone is using a different res than me.
I will take note of the red header things as I see what you mean. I suppose when you are pleased by a graphic you want to use it more but, as they say in the script writing business, kill your babies!
I know the orange text is hard to read but I really like that colour scheme. I don't know what else to do other than maybe make it bold?
The link to the homepage on the homepage is because I did a general nav bar and just put it on all pages.
Any tips welcome guys. I notice a lot of you visited the site, for which I thank you, but am happy for more help. Also want to know what people think of the competitions in terms of attraction to the site.
Thanks
Will :)
