I am currently looking into streaming high quality over an intranet. it would need to go from a DV cam to a large Plasma screen. there are 3 main locations the for the camera and the screen will stay in the same place. although there is a fair distance from a couple of the camera locations in the building to the screen, I am wondering if it would not be better to just run a cable from the camera direct to the stream instead of over complicating things by using the network to stream it.
Has anyone had any experiences like this?
does anyone know of any pros/cons for such a situation?
