disable IE6 auto switch to IE7

I have a PC that I use to test websites on and have recently installed IE7. Well, whenever I try to access a website using IE6, it automatically opens the web page in IE7 in a new window.

Does anyone know of a way to work around this or maybe an option setting for Internet Explorer that I'm not seeing? :confused:
