I would love to have some inputs from as many as possible.

I would like to know the pro's and con's of using Power Point for some of my pages in my website.

Please answer from knowledge, not gut feelings.

I have tried a couple to see how they work for static pages, not for slide shows.

Thanks

Are you talking about putting actual PowerPoint (.ppt) pages on your site, or creating pages in PP and then doing a "Save as Web Page" to create a HTML page?

It could certainly be done and provide a quick way to get some pages on your site. The main drawback I'd see is that -- at least with my Office 2000 version of PPT -- it produces HTML that may have some accessibility issues due to (a) using tables for visual presentation and (b) creating invalid HTML mark-up (using deprecated attributes as well as proprietary IE-specific features which may not work well in other browsers).

It seems like a good idea, but I would think that it could turn out looking un-professional and cheesy. Plus, as NogDog said, it will probably use deprecated HTML tags.

I have developed 2 pages so far using Power Point and I personally like very much and it was ever so easy.

1st, I would only use Power Point for a single page for a customer(s) of mine that only want 1 page just to show they are in business. These type of customer(s) only want you to call them or email them.

When I decide to do my next update, I will advise everyone so that they can review them.
