My FF will spawn numerous tabs when I attempt to open any PHP file as desktop file and not through the localhost server. It works OK when using the server. This bug has not yet affected anthing else on the machine. IE6 works OK.
My spyware doesn't locate a problem.
I upgraded to FF 2.0 and the problem persisted.
