Hope this is the right section to put this in, sorry if its not.

What i'm trying to do is have it so that when the user clicks on a link in my site to view a video, it opens up media player in same window but has a skin over the top of it so it still looks like the site and not just windows media player open...

Is this possible?

any links to tutorials/help much appreciated :)

could it be done using iframes and a div over the player?
then above the div have links to other videos that will load in iframe?

"Skin" preferences must be set by the user; they cannot by your code.

maybe skin was wrong choice of word...

basically i want a windows media player embedded in the page and when links on that page are clicked it opens the video in the player on the page...

I'll move this to Web video, to get this in the correct forum.

There are lots of free scripts out there to which embed video players in your website, the ones for Flash video being the most skinnable I guess. However, if you just want to put a media player on your webpage and design around it then you may want to use this wizard-style generator (http://www.spyderscripts.com/cgi-bin/demo/27/embed.pl) to get the code you need to embed either Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, Flash, or QuickTime videos in your pages.
